We recently bought an MAN HX60 and are in the process of converting it into an overland camper; have a look at www.ottothetruck.com for more info. We love how functional they look, along with the T244.

In June 1989 the Leyland DAF truck was selected to be the basis of the next generation of 4-tonne trucks used by the British Army. It was based on a design known as the T244, with a forward control all-steel cab and the conventional cargo body with a removable tailgate and dropsides, with a payload capacity of 4 tonnes. This vehicle has become a popular base for overland campers.

In the first image, the truck has been fitted with habitation boxes, so they can be used as overlanders.
